- 利用ABI2为诱饵筛选并鉴定出脱落酸(ABA)信号传导途径中的新信号分子Fibrillin,通过揭示Fibrillin的积累介入了ABA所介导的PSII光保护的过程,从而在脱落酸应答途径、Fibrillin和光胁迫之间建立了一种全新的联系,并证明Fibrillin基因表达和其作用可能紧密地交织在脱落酸信号传导的过程中(Yang et al., PNAS 2006)。与德国Grill教授合作发现植物激素脱落酸细胞内受体 (Yang, Dissertation, 2003; Ma et al., Science 2009),该项工作被称为是“Land Marker Paper”,被Science评选为2009年全球十大科技进展。 
- 解析了蛋白质激酶CARK1通过磷酸化ABA受体来调控ABA信号的分子机理(Cell Discovery, 2018; JEXBOT, 2019)以及E3泛素连接酶AtRAE1, RIFP1通过降解ABA受体进而参与ABA信号的传递(Plant, Cell & Environment, 2016, 2018);阐明一个全新的UDP-糖基转移酶UGT71C5如何在植物体内催化脱落酸ABA(有活性)转化为ABA-GE(无活性),从而达到植物体内ABA的内稳态平衡的分子机制(Plant Physiology, 2015)。 
- 发现一个与植物、微生物的热耐受性相关的未知基因BnTR1。将BnTR1转入在水稻、烟草、拟南芥、小麦、玉米和黑麦草中也发现能够增加植物的抗逆能力。同时,TR1也能够提高工业微生物如产苏氨酸棒状杆菌、产赖氨酸棒状杆菌和啤酒酵母等的耐热性能。因此,BnTR1具有重要的理论意义和巨大的实际应有价值。目前,以第一发明人身份申请了12项有关TR1的国家发明专利和2项国际PCT保护权。 - 代表性文章:
